My work involves a very close collaboration with my clients. You can provide me with the information I need in the context of recorded interviews, as notes, or both, and we will remain in frequent contact as I work.
Most projects begin with a recording session, or series of sessions, during which I obtain as much information as possible in audio format. A typical initial recording session yields notes amounting to up to 50,000 words, which helps me to make substantial progress on your project relatively quickly. Further recording sessions will be arranged as and when necessary.
I can also help you with your research needs and have access to excellent university library and protected online resources.
I have a great deal of experience in working with people for whom English is a foreign language.
The work that I have done for former clients has been published by companies including Routledge, Springer-Verlag, Sidgwick & Jackson, Short Books, Bookshaker, Whiting & Birch, and John Blake Publishing. The books and articles that I have written on my clients’ behalf have been published in the UK, Ireland, Canada, and the United States.
I am also an independent researcher in the field of ethnology.
